My inspiration boards have included work by Anne Watkins, her website is linked to this blog, she’s an amazing talent & I’m cleary a fan. When I got in touch with Anne about featuring her work, she gave me a personal call the same day all the way from New York, what a lovely lady! Her subtle but detailed watercolors capture the mood of many special moments.
My personal favorites by Anne.

Cinque Terre
My Italian isn’t so hot great good but Cinque Terre roughly translates to ‘five villages’. The five small staggered villages make up this town and has become quite the destination for Italy-lovers (aren’t we all?) thanks to Rick Steves.
I would go as far to say that this my favorite spot from this vacation. The colors you find are endless; the buildings, waters, boats and flowers you walk by on your way to the train inspire you for many many (weddings) events to come. Which is why I’m going to post up two color palettes straight from the Italian coast.
Based on the hydrangea bush, with blooms larger than my head, that I passed daily, I’m feeling a wedding (on a cliff’s edge) with purples, light blues and delicately placed accents would be whimsical.
Thanks to Martha Stewart Online & Anne Watkins Watercolors.
